Frequently asked questions
How do I add a contact?
Quilly doesn't use phone numbers or your address book. Instead, open New chat, tap Invite to create a one-time invite, and share the link or code with the person you want to add. When they open it, they're added to your contacts.
How do I recover my account?
Your account is protected by a 12-word recovery phrase you saved when you signed up (and an optional passphrase, if you set one). On a new device, choose Recover on the login screen and enter your phrase. Because Quilly is end-to-end encrypted, this phrase is the only way to restore your account â we cannot recover it for you.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Profile â Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and associated data. See our account deletion page for details.
How do I report abuse or block someone?
You can block a user from within a conversation to stop receiving their messages. To report abusive or objectionable behavior, email [email protected] with details. We review reports and take action â including removing offending accounts â typically within 24 hours. See our Terms of Service for our content policy.
I'm not receiving notifications
Make sure notifications are enabled for Quilly in your device settings, and that you haven't muted the conversation. If problems persist, email us and let us know your device and OS version.
