Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Quilly app and related services ("Quilly", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Quilly, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Quilly.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use Quilly. By using Quilly, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your password and recovery phrase secure.
- Because Quilly is end-to-end encrypted, we cannot recover your messages or account if you lose your recovery phrase. Please keep it somewhere safe.
- You may not share, sell, or transfer your account to others.
3. Acceptable use and content policy
Quilly has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. You agree that you will not use Quilly to create, send, request, or share content that:
- is illegal, or facilitates illegal activity, including any sexual content involving minors (we report such material to the authorities);
- harasses, threatens, bullies, defames, or incites violence against any person or group;
- is hateful or discriminatory based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar characteristics;
- is spam, fraudulent, deceptive, or distributes malware or phishing links;
- infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy rights, or impersonates another person.
Violating this policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.
4. Reporting and blocking
You can block any user from within the app to stop receiving their messages. You can also report abuse or objectionable content to us at [email protected]. We review reports and act on them — including removing offending accounts — typically within 24 hours.
Quilly encrypts message contents end-to-end, so we cannot read them. Enforcement therefore relies on user reports and the limited account metadata available to us. We take every report seriously.
5. Service availability
Quilly is provided "as is" and "as available". We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Quilly disclaims all warranties, express or implied. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service, including loss of data resulting from a lost recovery phrase.
7. Termination
You may stop using Quilly and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the service in a way that harms other users or the service.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
